About URA Recreational League

The Unionville Community Recreation Association (URA) offers year-round sports programs for children of all skill levels—from highly competitive athletes to those simply looking to be part of a team.

Our goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where every child leaves with a smile. While all URA programs are recreational (everyone makes a team), some programs include travel or extended-season opportunities for those seeking more competition. We also provide off-season clinics and training to help players sharpen their skills.

URA is a 100% volunteer-driven, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (#23-7375176) dedicated to enhancing youth recreation programs and facilities to enrich our community.

Who We Serve

URA primarily serves families in the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District (UCFSD), including Chadds Ford, Newlin, Pennsbury, Pocopson, Birmingham, East Marlborough, and West Marlborough townships. We also welcome participants from West Chester, Kennett, Avon Grove, and private schools.

Participation is open to all—you do not need to attend UCFSD to join URA programs. The only exception is girls lacrosse, which requires participants to reside within UCFSD.

Get Involved

URA is entirely volunteer-driven organization, and we rely on the support of our community to provide quality sports programs for local youth. There are several ways to make a difference:

✅ Coach a Team – Share your passion for sports by coaching or assisting with one of our teams. No prior experience? No problem—we provide resources to help!

✅ Take on a Leadership Role in URA – Help shape the future of youth sports by supporting and organizing programs, assisting with operations, or leading special initiatives within a specific sport.

✅ Sponsor a Team or Field – Support our baseball and softball programs through team sponsorships, uniform branding, or field advertisements. This is a great way to give back while gaining local exposure for your business.
